Oregon Adventure

Oregon in February 2019 I visited my friend for 4 days, we had a few place we wanted to see and explore over a long weekend. My flight was delayed due to bad weather that was around the whole of the West Coast at the time. I arrived around midnight and checked in to my Airbnb the next day my friend and I got some breakfast and headed off on our first adventure to Drift Creek.

Day 1

Drift Creek

It was a 2-hour drive from Eugene, OR but well worth it there was a little bit of snow on the elevations but once we arrived it was only pouring rain. On the hike we found a bridge, over the bridge there was a waterfall which we explored but unfortunately, my camera got to wet at this stage and I wasn't able to take any more photos.

Day 2

Bend, OR

On the second day we set off to Bend, OR. On our way through the pass, it was snowing hard! It was so beautiful like out of a dream or a movie. The evergreens made it even more majestic, it really was looking like Christmas!! Once we got to bend we went to a pizza and craft brewery our reward for the adventure through the pass.

The way back through the pass to Eugene, OR was when I got all my beautiful shots from this adventure. We were just driving along and I snapped this photo on the pass.

This picture doesn't actually do the scenery justice as it was such a pretty scene. The next shot we pulled over we remembered going past a really pretty spot on the freeway so we had to pull over for a photo.

Day 3

Alsea Falls

This adventure was a little bit more of an interesting story. We started the day catching up with some friends in Corvallis, OR. After we headed of the Alsea Falls we were there for a bit over an hour but I picked up some amazing pics include one of my favorites.

It was starting to get dark so we decided to head back to the Airbnb. On the way we decided to go through a back road which seemed like a good idea at the time. It was an interesting drive but as we got to a higher point there was snow on the road and the road was also on an angle unfortunately we didn't have chains on the car tires.

We were stuck we tried everything to get out but we couldn't. Finally we set off for a 10 miles walk to my friends, friends place because we didn't have mobile reception. A mile down the road we got mobile reception again and my friend was able to call his friends.

We ended up staying at the friends place and I got this beautiful photo from it so it wasn't all bad.

Not a bad place to wake up to. Of course after we recused the car it was the end of my trip. So the adventure ended there I hope you enjoyed it.
